Collaboration tools for lawyers

We wrap up ourĀ coverage fromĀ ILTA ‘08 with a focus on the use of technology for collaboration.

The rise of the Internet as a communications platform means new ways for lawyers to make connections in their work. The outlook for these kinds of digital connections was so intriguing that two noted legal technology experts decided to write a book about them.

Tom Mighell and Dennis Kennedy wrote “The Lawyer’s Guide to Collaboration Tools and Technologies: Smart Ways to Work Together.” Mighell is an accomplished attorney, author and blogger. Kennedy also wears many hats, writing about legal technology and practicing law. Both men also produce a podcast, the Kennedy-Mighell Report. Kennedy also has been a guest on our Westcast podcast.

We talked with Mighell at ILTA ‘08, between the sessions he was presenting with Kennedy, and asked him about their book:

By the way, Doug Cornelius at KM Space blogged about the ILTA session from Mighell and Kennedy, titled “Legal Aspects of Collaboration Tools.” (Download the slides from that session)
