Black’s Law editor posts video of Supreme Court Justices

Bryan Garner, the editor of Black’s Law Dictionary from Thomson West, is getting attention on the Web for a series of unique video interviews with eight of the nine United States Supreme Court justices.

Garner videotaped interviews with Chief Justice John Roberts and associate justices Samuel Alito, Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Anthony Kennedy, Antonin Scalia, John Paul Stevens and Clarence Thomas. Associate Justice David Souter was the only one who declined Garner’s request for a video interview.

The focus of the interviews is primarily the justices’ opinions on legal writing, Garner’s expertise.

The videos are posted on Garner’s Web site, LawProse.org, For more background, read an article on Law.com.

By the way, Garner and Justice Scalia collaborated on a book to be published by Thomson West on April 28 titled “Making Your Case: The Art of Persuading Judges.” Look for more on that new title in the weeks ahead.
